I liked the WSJ article until I read:

About 53 million American women knew how to knit and crochet in 2004, up from 35 million a decade earlier, according to a recent study by the Craft Yarn Council of America.

What about us American men? I taught myself how to knit 15 years ago and have since taught my wife and 11 year old daughter. We male knitters need more recognition!!!

I loved the article, typical out-of-the-box thinking of the new "micro eco-farmers" of the world. And I was thrilled to hear from a male knitter. I'd like to blog more about that trend at the Center for the Micro Eco-Farming Movement on www.microecofarming.com if any of you guys want to send me your comments
