I nearly fainted on the side of I-84

My tank was on empty- I mean running on fumes empty- and I filled it to the top for under $45.  It was like Christmas and my birthday came on the same day.

Isn't it funny? A few weeks ago it was almost 3$ more per gallon. Around here it is 1.98$ now.
Still they talk every day about "THE SOARING GAS PRICES" LOL

I distinctly remember a summer during college (perhaps 1998?) looking at the gas prices in Weymouth MA and being annoyed that it was "so high" at $1.17...

Wonder if it'll get that low again?

It's $1.69 here today. I don't remember it being that low since 9-11-01

I saw $1.88 on my way to work, here in Denver. Hooray!

You know what's funny? A few years ago we wouldn't have thought that was low. I can't wait to see how low it is in NH over Thanksgiving!

It's $1.78 here in central Indiana!

It's $1.64 here in Eastern Kansas. Missouri is less since they have no gas tax, but haven't talked to anyone yet to find out how much lower.

Sheeeesh! Last time I filled up (I have a Prius) gas was $2.25!!

it's still at 2.17 a gallon here but if you pay cash and go to a certain station it's 1.98 hubby saw. I remember 17 years ago when i got married i drove a MG Midget in CT/RI. 4.00 filled me up for a good week!

Turtle- that is hilarious! I grew up in Texas and I think gas was something like .69 when I got my license, but maybe I'm remembering wrong?

Looks like Jenibug wins at $1.64.

I have mixed feelings about the price going down actually. I was getting my hair cut last week and the young woman washing my hair was talking about buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee because gas "is only $2.25 a gallon." I wanted to shake her! Talk about short term memory...

I know - gas here went from $4.29 six months ago to $1.99. WTH?
