Moving Day Update- On the Ferry

Well I'm on the ferry with Patrick and Erin. The sheep, goats and dogs are still in the standby line waiting to get on a boat. Hopefully they will make it on the next one but we are going on ahead to make sure the fencing is set up and water troughs filled when they arrive.
All things considered the loading went pretty smoothly. We got the girls into their small waiting pen in the morning and consolidated all the farm stuff at Felix Neck. Then did the same with the boys at Tisbury Meadows.
The funniest thing was moving the babies. Patrick held five of them at a time in the golf cart while I drove.

When the trailer arrived at Tisbury Meadows we were ready to go. We got all the rams and bucks into the trailer pretty easily- we only had to chase two. Felix Neck went even better.

The WiFi on the ferry is being difficult so I can't upload may pics. More when we get home tonight, I promise.

I don't think anyone expected you to blog today let alone put up a bunch of pictures. You guys must be exhausted.

I posted this comment on another blog. I don't understand how it came up on this one. Blogger is acting weird....

I'm just picturing all the sheep and goats, standing at the railing, waving to the island, tossing pennies overboard... Wearing MV t-shirts, of course!

One of my favorite shows, 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' has nothing on you guys..lol.

I can't help but picture the sheep and goats with their luggage on the stand-by line.

I'm so glad everything went well. I was not expecting another post today. I can just picture other people on the boat looking a the sheep and goats. That makes me laugh. So happy for you guys :)

Ok, when you wrote this I laughed out loud. "Well I'm on the ferry with Patrick and Erin. The sheep, goats and dogs are still in the standby line waiting to get on a boat. Hopefully they will make it on the next one but we are going on ahead to make sure the fencing is set up and water troughs filled when they arrive." Presumably they had other humans with them? Or are the dogs just that good they can keep the sheep and goats in line, buy the tickets and get everyone on and off the boat. Such a funny mental picture, i have been laughing about this since yesterday! Cheers!
