Five More Things You Don't Know About Me

1. I went to culinary school at 33 years old and was one of the two oldest people in my class. I was a really good home cook before school but now I have a deeper understanding of the techniques and can really kick ass in the kitchen. Tonight, however, we are having grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup from a can.

2.I didn't learn to parallel park until I was 25. In my defense, I grew up in Texas and where there is nothing but room for parking spaces.

3. I am turning into my grandmother. In the last year or so I have developed a keen interest in mystery novels and crossword puzzles. If you ever catch me wearing tea rose perfume and asking delivery men to take their shoes off at the door, please, for the love of God, schedule an intervention.

4. I walk and talk in my sleep. Twice I have called 911 in my sleep and reported crimes that were taking place in my dream. When I lived in Washington D.C. I would sometimes wake up on the street in my pajamas at 2 a.m. 

5. I enjoy driving long distances by myself.

Five Things You Don't Know About Me

1. I refuse to buy bananas. I say it's because I believe in eating local and don't think fruit should be flown all over creation but the truth is I don't like bananas. Not one bit. (Sometimes I claim to be allergic to them.)

2.I regularly leave the house without my cell phone, driver's license, credit card or cash. This drives Erin crazy. I hardly ever leave the house without my camera.

3. I love all kinds of music but if you let me pick the radio station we'll most likely be listening to country.

4. There is nothing more satisfying to me in this world than finding a really good $10 bottle of wine. 

5. I hardly ever get angry, but when I do, it's ugly.
