Hats for the Homeless Update

You know those people who get things done? Those people who make everything seem effortless and easy-peasy? I am not one of those people but Jean, a.k.a. Scottishlamb is.

By knitting pretty much non-stop while I was in Texas for a week my mom, Carrie and I managed to knit up 10 very simple hats. Mom and Carrie have kept at it and have four or five more ready to put in the mail any day now.

Scottishlamb has collected 105 hand knit hats for the homeless so far and the are absolutely lovely. I stole the above photograph from her blog so ya'll can see them. The hats my family and I knitted are going to look...sad next to all those beauties.

But in this case, I think it's a hat's ability to cover a head and hold in warmth that counts, so I am still proud of the time we spent knitting.

Those hats are great! They'll keep some heads warm this winter. :-)

Thanks for the very kind words, Susan. It wouldn't have been possible without everyone's support. And, I just gotta say, c'mon! You're running a CSA Farm for cryin' out loud! You get plenty done! *I* don't know how *you* do it!
I'll see ya tomorrow!

What a lovely job! I did this once in the past.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I live in CT - I wonder how far you are? I'd love to take my girls up to visit your farm.
